The brand TRUCK SCRAPER derives from a family transport company. Our headline target was to find an optimal solution allowing our transport fleet’s roofs to be cleaned from accumulated snow and ice. Each driver before beginning the journey is obliged to clean the vehicle’s roof. Snow and ice remaining on vehicle’s roof constitute a huge danger for other road users. Incidents and crashes concerning falling snow and ice fragments from vehicles in motion represent not only financial consequences for the vehicle operator, but also pose a real threat for other drivers and passers-by.
Our objective was to create a tool which can be available at any place (parking, transport bases, petrol stations) and at any time. The existing infrastructure (e.g. ramps for snow clearance) can hardly be found. Drivers in order to clean the roofs of their vehicles needed in most cases to work at heights without protection and with provisional tools like brooms, so that accumulated snow and ice can be removed. The majority of drivers ploughs the vehicles’ roofs not having proper permissions, risking their life and health.
The product TRUCK SCRAPER was tested for almost two years and during that time we introduced a wide range of improvements and reinforcement. The technical solution and design of our tool was registered and is protected across the entire European Union (Registered Community Design No 008850465-0001). Due to a few hundred hours of testing and implementing key adjustments, TRUCK SCRAPER can easily clean the vehicles’ roofs not only from remaining layer of snow, but also ice!
